Cameron ISD Scholarship Foundation
Yoe High School seniors are eligible to fill out the Cameron ISD Scholarship Foundation application. The application will be available to students in January. An announcement will be made to remind the students. DUE DATE: March 1, 2016.
Callaway Scholarship 2016
Yoe High School seniors, who have attended Yoe High at least 2 years are eligible. The application will be completed with the counselor during senior English classes and is due by March 1, 2016. REQUIREMENT: 20 hours of community service. Community Service Forms will also be available in the Counselor's Office and must be turned in with the application no later than March 22, 2016.
Terry Foundation Scholarship
The Terry Foundation selects outstanding students and awards full collegiate scholarships for attendance at the University of Texas-Austin, Texas A&M University-College Station, University of Houston-Main Campus, Texas State University-San Marcos, University of Texas-San Antonio, and the University of Texas-Dallas.

Voice of Democracy Program
Since 1947, the Voice of Democracy has been the Veterans of Foreign Wars' (VFW) premier scholarship program. Each year more than 100,000 high school students compete for more than $2.5 million in scholarships and incentives. Students compete by writing and recording a broadcast script on an annual patriotic theme. This year's theme is "Is There Pride in Serving in Our Military?"

Area Go Texan Scholarships
70 four-year, $15,000 college scholarships presented to outstanding eligible students representing the counties participating in the Show's Area Go Texan program. American Legion
The 2016 American Legion High School Oratorical Scholarship Program "A Constitutional Speech Contest". High school students will enter competition to qualify for the National Oratorical Program, with an ultimate award of $160,000 in scholarships. Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation
Each year the foundation awards 250 merit-based scholarships. Applicants should have a minimum of 3.0 GPA. You must apply on-line at, and you will need to have the school CEEB code, which is 441-091.

The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards
The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards honor young people in middle and high school grades for outstanding volunteer service to ther communities. Created in 1995 by Prudential Financial in partnership with the National Association of Secondary School Prinicpals[NASSP], the awards constitute the United Stats' largest youth recognition program based solely on volunteering at the local, state, and national level., or type in key phrase: Prudential Spirit of community awards. Global Lift Equipment Scholarship

2nd Annual "Freedom in Academia" Student Essay Contest

Emory Scholars Program
Emory Scholar awards span four years of undergraduate study and range from 2/3 tuition to full-tuition, room, board, and fees. Ben Kaplan's Power of Famly Scholarships
Scholarships are open to students of any age. The unique awards competition asks students-along with their parents, mentors, coaches, or other supporters-to contribute equally to the application process; one 500-word essay is submitted by the student and a second 500-word essay is submitted by the primary supporter. Hispanic Scholarship Fund and got milk?
The got milk? Futuro con Leche Scholarship Progra is available on a comptetitive basis to graduating high school seniors of Hispanic heritage. Odenza Marketing Group Volunteer Scholarship

Prairie View A&M USDA/1890 National Scholars Program
In 2017, the USDA and 17 Historically Black Land Grant Universities and Tuskegee University will offer 34 fully paid, 4-year scholarships, use of a computer, summer employment, and employment benefits. The University will pay for room and board. Students must be US citizens, demonstrate leadership and sign a service agreement to work one year for USDA [with pay] for each years financial assistance is received. Ronald McDonald House Charities

Micron Science and Technology Scholars Program
Micron Technology Foundation is pleased to announce that scholarships will be awarded in the Micron Science and Technology Program to students who have demonstrated excellence in academics and leadership. Students must have a combined SAT Verbal / Math score of 1350 or a composite ACT score of 30 as well as an unweighted GPA of 3.5 – 4.0. Texas Student Housing Scholarship Program
A scholarship program that makes awards available to graduating seniors who are accepted to attend college in Austin, College station, Denton or San Marcos and have not signed off campus housing leases. Texas State University and Texas Women’s University normally do not permit first year students to live off campus.

The McKelvey Foundation Entrepreneurial Scholarships
The entrepreneurial scholarships are available to high school students who have started a business. The Foundation will award 100 student scholarships of up to $10, 000 per year for our years of college. For more information, see

American Dream Scholarship
Established in partnership with the United Negro College Fund, the American Dream Scholarship Program is open to African Americans with financial need. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, with a minimum 2.5 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale), who meet Pell Grant eligibility criteria, and are enrolled full time at approved, accredited, undergraduate institutions. First in My Family Scholarship Program
The First in My Family Scholarship Program, developed in partnership with the Hispanic College Fund, offers scholarships to Hispanic-American students who are the first in their family to attend college and have financial need. The program is open to Hispanic Americans who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents enrolled as full time undergraduate students at approved, accredited institutions. Unmet Need Scholarships
Open to families with a combined income of $30,000 or less, this program is intended to supplement financial aid packages that fall more than $1,000 short of students' financial need. This scholarship is not designed as a substitute for aid provided by an institution. The Unmet Need Scholarship program is open to US citizens and permanent residents who are accepted or enrolled as full-time undergraduate students at approved, accredited institutions. Students must have a minimum 2.5 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) to be eligible to apply. Recipients will be selected based on financial need. Unmet Need Scholarships range from $1000 – $3800. Speak Out!Picture This! Scholarship

All high school juniors and seniors who live in the Austin American-Statesman home subscription area, wit the exception of students whose parents or guardians are full-time or part-time employees of the competition sponsors. 1st place-$3,000, 2nd place-$2,000, 3rd place-$1,500. 2015 Shell Oil Company Technical Scholarship and 2012 Shell Minority Scholarship - 20 One year awards of $2500 for graduating high school seniors enrolling in engineering or geosciences at universities identified by Shell. W Price Jr. Memorial Scholarship
The Texas Restaurant Association offers a scholarship dedicated to the education of future restaurateurs in Texas. The scholarship is worth $5000 for a student attending a four-year university or culinary academy and $2000 for a student attending a two-year college. Applications are on-line.

KFC Colonel’s Scholars
The KFC Colonel’s Scholars Program was created in 2006 and is dedicated to assisting students with financial need who plan to pursue a bachelor’s degree at a public institution within their legal state of residence. Best Buy Scholarships
Best Buy Children's Foundation is providing over $2.4 million to be given as scholarships to recognize and reward students who have made extraordinary volunteer contributions to their communities. Best Buy is dedicated to encouraging, expanding and rewarding community volunteer service while also applauding and supporting academic excellence.

DECA Scholarship Opportunities
DECA students have the opportunity to apply for scholarships that require that the student work for the companies that offer the scholarship. Those applications include Safeway, Kmart, Claire's, Sears, Finish Line and TJMaxx/Marshalls. All other shcolarships open to all DECA students.

Educational Communications Scholarship Foundation
The Foundation will provide over $100,000 in scholarships at the high school level through Who’s Who Among American High School Students. Each award will be any accredited college or university.

Cargill Community Scholarship Program for 2016-2017
This scholarship program is administered as part of the National FFA Organization Scholarship Program on behalf of Cargill. Students do not have to be in FFA to be selected. THis program awards $1000 scholarships to 350 high school seniors who live in communities where Cargill has a business presence in the United States and provide $200 to each student's school library.

Texas Department of Transportation
The TxDOT is currently accepting applications to the Conditional Grant Program for the plan year beginning fall 2013. The grant provides tuition assistance to eligible graduating high school seniors and college students interested in a career with TxDOT. This year students who are pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, finance/accounting, communications, computer science/information technology, GIS, Planning, or a department approved major are being considered. The College of Business Administration at SHSU offers a wonderful scholarship program targeting entering freshmen with academic potential and established financial need. The Smith-Hutson Scholarship provides up to $14,000 per year for a maximum of four consecutive years of undergraduate studies, provided the recipient maintains a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least a 2.5 and completes a minimum of 30 semester credit hours toward a business degree each academic year.
The deadline for submitting the application package is March 11, 2017. Multiple scholarships are awarded each year.

Catholic Life Insurance All American Scholar Program Applications are due in by March 1, 2013.

The Max W. Schlotter Scholarship, in the amount of $1000, will be award to three Region VI graduating seniors who plan to major in education. The students must pursue an education in a Texas college or university. Copy of application form can be picked up in the counselor’s office at Yoe High School and must be submitted no later than March 30, 2017.

Texas Trial Lawyers Association is now accepting applications for the 2014 Scholarship Program. These true-need-based scholarships of $1000 each are awarded to high school seniors statewide. Application deadline: March 30, 2017.

Micron Technology Foundation
Micron Technology Foundation, Inc has established a scholarship program to recognize excellence in academics and leadership among high school seniors in the states of Idaho, Utah, Texas, Colorado, and Virginia who plan to continue their education in college programs. Up to $253,000 in scholarships will be awarded annually for full-time* study at accredited four-year colleges or universities to encourage careers in high technology. For more information:

CrossLites Scholarship
CrossLites is offering a $1,500 scholarship opportunity to ALL high school, college and graduate students. There is no minimum GPA or rank involved. A student must simply reflect on one of Dr. Parker's inspirational quotes and how it relates to his/her life in a brief essay. Flying J Scholarship Program
Flying J Inc offers the Flying J Scholarship Program to outstanding seniors residing in or attend school in communities where Flying J Travel Plazas are located. Students must plan to enroll in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school in fall following the announcement of award. Myra Hasty & Dr. Pat McLeod Scholarships
The Career & Technology Association of Texas (CTAT) is sponsoring the Myra Hasty & Dr. Pat McLeod Scholarships. These scholarships are for high school seniors involved in Career & Technical student organization and continuing their education at an accredited institution of higher learning for the Fall Semester of 2016 and the Spring Semester of 2017.  There are 10 scholarships in the amount of $1,000.00 each. Texas Culinary Academy Scholarship
High School Seniors with a passion for cooking have the opportunity to participate in the Annual Future Chef of America High School Culinary Arts Competition. Students could be a finalist at a chance of winning part of $3750 in the Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts Scholarship.

Texas Trial Lawyers Association Scholarship
This program is dedicated to assisting students who have proven the ability to do college level work, yet may not be able to obtain financial aid through traditional sources. These true-need-based scholarships of $1000 each are awarded to high school seniors statewide. The scholarship criteria do not include requirements concerning race, sex, or field of study. Louisiana Tech University Music Scholarship
If you are interested in pursuing a music degree, you must audition to be considered for scholarships and admittance into the Department of Music degree programs. The audition process is separate from being admitted to Louisiana Tech. All applicants are encouraged to apply for admission to Louisiana Tech prior to December 1, 2016 to ensure consideration for academic scholarships. Audition dates for March can be found at

SHSU's College of Business Adminstration's Smith-Hutson Scholarship Program

The Smith-Hutson Scholarship is a four-year, need-based scholarship for students majoring in descipilines in the College of Business Administration. The scholarship is awarded at different amounts depending on financial need but this year it is funded at up to $7000 per semseter(up to $14,000 for the year) and is reduced by the amount of other aid received. Luminant Power Track Scholarship
A career development program that provides an inside track to a career in the power plant industry for a select group of students-is currently offering 40 highly motivated students a full scholarship toward an a scholarship that could grow into a full-time position with Luminant upon graduation. Slough Foundation Scholarship
High school seniors can receive up to $5000 per year for up to a total of five years or the completion of a Bachelor degree by applying for this scholarship. Don’t Mess with Texas Scholarship

“Every Drop Counts” Earth Science Scholarship
Candidates for the “Every Drop Counts” Earth Science scholarship must complete the application, be a resident of Texas, have a 3.0 GPA, and currently have plans to pursue a degree in earth/environmental sciences at an accredited four-year college or university.

Ayn Rand’s The Fountainhead Essay Scholarship
Essays written by 11th and 12 grade high school students will be judged on both style and content. Judges will look for writing that is clear, articulate and logically organized. Winning essays must demonstrate an outstanding grasp of the philosophic and psychological meaning of The Fountainhead. For more information:

Milam County Area Go Texan Scholarship 2016
Applicant must be graduating from a Milam County public or private school and must have been a member of a Milam County 4-H Club or FFA organization in Milam County for two years while in high school.

Healthy Choices Scholarship
$500 scholarship to be eligible for the Healthy Choices Scholarship you must:

The Goss-Michael Foundation Scholarship

To be eligible for the scholarship a student must:
A)Be a legal resident of one of the fifty states of the United States or the District of Columbia, or

C)Be aged 7 to 18 years old on May 1, 2015 and

LGMD Awareness Scholarship - $3,000- 4 Awards
A)LGMD Awareness Scholarship was designed to reward students who teach other about Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophies, often referred to as LGMDs.
B)There are two scholarship categories, merit-based and social media based.  A total of four $3,000 scholarships will be awarded in 2017.
C)The scholarship money can be used for tuition, books, and equipment required for education courses.  Students may apply for both scholarship categories but students will be awarded at most one scholarship.  applications can be found by going to:

$500 scholarship to be eligible for the Caretenders Scholarship Program you must:

A student must be attending school at the undergraduate level in the fall of 2014 and can be enrolled in any year of their undergraduate program.
